2007 Strategic Plan
In 2007, the Board chose to establish a strategic direction with a dual focus:
- Outreach, enrollment, and retention in public health coverage programs
- Policy and/or advocacy for health care coverage access and expansion.
Five primary critical issues for CKF-IN emerged from this strategic planning process:
- The shifting public health policy environment;
- CKF’s organizational capacity;
- Alignment of CKF’s financial resources with its chosen strategic direction;
- The need to formalize the organizational structure; and
- The need to establish and leverage key partners.
The Board established goals and objectives for the organization and defined these as program goals and management goals. The program goals are:
- To become the state’s recognized expert and strongest voice on health coverage issues;
- To become the state’s strongest resource for facilitating health coverage enrollment; and
- To create a statewide and local advocacy network through expanded partnerships.
The management goals are:
- To achieve stable funding aligned with strategic direction needs;
- To align staff and organizational structure to better meet programmatic needs.
