In Northeast Indiana, the former Allen County Coalition needed to search for a new lead agency. During the search process, coalition members stepped forward to lead the coalition until a new lead agency was found. They were committed to carrying out the CKF-IN mission and keeping the coalition alive. Community Action of Northeast Indiana (CANI) stepped forward and became the new lead agency. Under the direction of CANI, the coalition plans to expand its regional coalition and outreach activities beyond Allen County to also serve DeKalb, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben and Whitley counties.

The new Northeast Indiana Coalition is committed to enrolling more families in health insurance programs. It has reached out to inactive enrollment centers and urged them to re-engage with the coalition. Many enrollment centers in the six county regions have expressed an interest in working with the coalition in the future.
