Retaining eligible children and adults in Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Programs is an important strategy in reducing the number of uninsured. Maximizing enrollment through the retention of eligible consumers can serve as a vital component of health care reform efforts.
In a report by the Southern Institute on Children and Families, eight states share information and lessons learned during a two-year project funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The report highlights suggestions for improving Medicaid and CHIP retention rates.
