We are closer than ever to achieving meaningful health reform, but still, even as we fight for this change, thousands of people are losing coverage. The economic downturn has caused more people to lose their employer-based coverage because they are losing their jobs. Fewer businesses can afford to offer health insurance benefits. And, for those who do have coverage, their insurance status is becoming increasingly tenuous as premiums consume a larger portion of their family budgets. If you are uninsured, you are not alone.
