Dana Moell is a seasoned executive with over twenty-five years of experience in operations management, strategic planning, and organizational leadership. As the Chief Operating Officer at Managed Health Services (MHS), she has been instrumental in driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
A native of Greencastle, Indiana, Dana holds a degree in Communications and in East Asian Studies from DePauw University. Her career spans various sectors, including public air transportation, higher education and government-sponsored healthcare programs, where she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to high-quality service, operational efficiency and mission-driven outcomes. Prior to working at MHS for over a decade, Dana’s previous work experience includes call center and customer service management at ATA Airlines and event and Alumni Relations at DePauw University.
In her current role, Dana oversees all aspects of the organization’s operations, including program management, claims operations, provider contracting, provider relations, health equity, project management and vendor management. She has successfully led initiatives that have resulted in increased membership, the procurement of state contracts, expanded services/products and improved operational processes.
Dana is passionate about helping Hoosiers live healthier and happier lives and is known for her collaborative leadership style, strategic vision, and ability to drive impactful change.
Outside of Dana’s professional responsibilities, she also serves on the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Indiana Chapters Board of Directors, where she contributes her knowledge and experience to the Health Equity Coalition.
