Deb has served as the Executive Director for the Indiana Association of School Nurses for the past 6 years, representing the association membership at the Indiana legislature and also other Indiana based health and education focused coalitions. Deb was the Health Services Director at the Indiana School for the Deaf for over 21 years. Prior to this she was employed as a school and public health nurse in rural Wisconsin. Deb was the Indiana delegate and board member representative for the National Association of School Nurses Board of Directors from 2009-2014.
Deb received her BSN in Nursing graduating summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire School of Nursing and became a nationally certified school nurse in 2009. Deb has presented on school nursing topics at the IASN annual conference and the School Health Network conferences with a focus on chronic diseases in children, especially asthma, immunizations and health care planning for students with special care needs at school.
