Greg Porter

Gregory W. Porter is Vice-President of External Affairs for the Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County. In this role, Greg advises the CEO/President on communication strategies and serves as liaison for community involvement. He is also a member of the Indiana General Assembly.

As a State Representative, Greg has served the residents of Indiana House District 96, located in Indianapolis, since 1992.   Greg is currently the ranking minority member of the House Ways & Means Committee and past chairman and ranking minority member of the Indiana House Education Committee.    During his tenure as chairman of the Indiana House Education Committee, Greg has been a strong advocate for early education, higher education, and proprietary schools.  He is past chair of the Indiana Black Legislative Caucus.

Greg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Earlham College, where he received the Outstanding Alumni Award. He graduated from the Harvard University Kennedy School Executive Education Program in 2001 and participated on Harvard’s Working Group on Early Childhood Science and Policy.

Greg has been a member of the CKF-IN Board of Directors since 2009 and represents Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County as a Permanent member.  Greg currently serves on the Executive and Finance committees.
