Joanne Martin

Joanne Martin is a consultant with Goodwill Industries of Central and Southern Indiana.  At Goodwill, she directs program research, development and evaluation and consults with the implementation of Nurse Family Partnership, the first NFP program in Indiana and the first time any Goodwill has been selected to implement NFP.

Dr. Martin has served in many leadership positions, including a 3-year appointment to the DHHS Secretary’s Advisory Committee to Prevent Infant Mortality (SACIM).  Governors Bayh, O’Bannon, Kernan and Daniels appointed her to the Indiana Commission on State Health Policy, Human Resource Investment Council and Executive Board of Indiana State Department of Health respectively.

Dr. Martin received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of San Francisco in 1966, her master’s degree in nursing from the University of California at San Francisco in 1970, and her Doctoral degree in public health from the University of California at Berkeley in 1985.  Dr. Martin joined the CKF-IN Board of Directors in 2006 and is past Chair of the Schools & Early Childhood Committee.  She serves as an Emeritus member since 2018.
