Julia Hudson Grimmer, J.D., MPH, is Associate General Counsel for Ensign Services, a subsidiary of The Ensign Group, Inc., whose affiliated operating entities are considered national leaders in the skilled nursing and post-acute care industry. Julia’s role supports managed care contracting and initiatives for Ensign’s over 300 facilities in the post-acute care continuum across 17 states and growing.
Prior to joining Ensign, Julia worked for UnitedHealthcare and then Optum, supporting United Clinical Services and Optum Health businesses, respectively. Julia started her career in private practice, where she developed expertise in health care regulatory matters with a focus on federal health care programs, such as Medicaid program contracting and financing requirements. Julia also has a long history with CKF-IN, which lends her an understanding of the operational aspects of CKF-IN’s work and the related stakeholders.
Julia is an Indiana native and proud graduate of Indiana University McKinney School of Law and the Fairbanks School of Public Health. She believes that everyone deserves access to health care and that having health care coverage can be life-changing, especially for children.
