Julie Reed

Julie D. Reed, JD, is executive vice president of the Indiana State Medical Association. She serves as directing manager of ISMA, overseeing all programs, services and personnel. This includes ISMA’s nationally accredited continuing medical education program, legal services, government relations, Physician Assistance Program, practice management services and member communications.  Julie served as the General Counsel for ISMA prior to her current role.

Before coming to ISMA, Julie was a business litigator for the law firm of Bingham McHale in Indianapolis, now Dentons Bingham Greenebaum. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from Hanover College and her JD, with honors, from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, where she was founding editor-in-chief of the Indiana Health Law Review. She is a past president of Executive Women in Health Care and the American Society of Medical Association Counsel, and a 2012 graduate of the Indianapolis Bar Association Bar Leader Series.

With more than 8,500 members, the Indiana State Medical Association (ISMA) is the largest physician organization in the state and is dedicated to maximizing the leadership and impact of physicians.

Julie joined the CKF-IN Board of Directors in 2020.  She represents the Indiana State Medical Association as a Permanent member.
