Justin Garrett is the Vice President of Care Affordability and Government Programs at Indiana University Health. In this role, he oversees managed care contracting, pricing, and government reimbursement. He is also involved in value based care programs. Garrett has previously held leadership positions within the system related to government advocacy, external affairs, and patient affordability.
Prior to his career in healthcare, he worked in Indiana politics. He began as a Governor’s Fellow in Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels’ office in 2005 and later served as Political Director for the Governor’s successful re election campaign in 2008. From 2011 to 2013, Garrett was the Executive Director of the Indiana Republican Party, where he oversaw communications, political operations, and fundraising under Chairman Eric Holcomb. He also served as Campaign Manager for Holcomb’s 2016 bid for the United States Senate and led the transition team when Holcomb was appointed Indiana’s 51st Lieutenant Governor.
Garrett is a native of Columbus, Indiana, and a two time graduate of the University of Chicago. He lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Emily, and their two sons, Conor and Patrick.
