Justin Garrett is the Executive Director of Strategic Affairs and Corporate Partnerships at Indiana University Health. In this role, he assists with advocacy efforts both at the Indiana Statehouse and with key stakeholders in the business community across Indiana. With a background in healthcare finance, Garrett has held previous leadership positions with the system overseeing pricing and government reimbursement financing programs.
Prior to his career in healthcare, he was involved in Indiana politics. Getting his start as a Governor’s Fellow in Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels office in 2005, he went on to serve as Political Director of the Governor’s successful re-election bid in 2008. As Executive Director of the Indiana Republican Party from 2011-2013, Garrett oversaw all communications, political and fundraising efforts under then Chairman Eric Holcomb. He also served as Campaign Manager for Holcomb’s 2016 bid for United States Senate and ran the transition when Holcomb was appointed as Indiana’s 51st Lieutenant Governor. Garrett is a native of Columbus, Indiana, and a two-time graduate of The University of Chicago. He lives in Indianapolis with his wife Emily and his two sons, Conor and Patrick.
