Kimberly Roop serves as President of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield’s Indiana Medicaid plan. Previous to her current role, Kimberly served as Regional Vice President and Medical Director. Dr. Roop is responsible for all aspects of health plan operations, including strategic planning, provider contracting, member quality and outreach, access and coordination of medical services and overall plan performance.
Kimberly joined Anthem 13 years ago and has held several positions, all working toward the goal of improving the lives of Hoosiers and our communities. Kimberly is an Air Force Veteran, having assisted in relief efforts following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, as well as relief efforts in Ecuador and the Azores, prior to joining Anthem. Following her Air Force service, Dr. Roop worked at a large private obstetrics and gynecology practice in Indianapolis. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and her MBA from West Virginia University.
Kimberly joined the CKF-IN Board of Directors in 2018 representing Anthem as a permanent member and serves on the Finance Committee.
