Amy has been working in public policy for the last six years at the Indiana Community Action Poverty Institute where she was Community Outreach and Engagement Coordinator. She worked closely with Community Action Agencies to share poverty data and connect people with lived experience to the policy process. Amy is excited to bring her strengths in relationship building and influencing to the healthcare coverage world, which is just a short jump from the anti-poverty work she did through Community Action. Amy especially enjoys demystifying the legislative process whether that’s through tours of the Statehouse, live phone calls to legislators, or communicating the status of bills. (Stay tuned for ways to be involved!)
In addition to her work in policy, Amy brings experience as a military spouse, a Title I school library assistant, and a small business pie slinger to her work. She also leans on her master’s degrees in social work and public affairs, which are both from Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!). She loves musical theater, reading romance, and the color pink.
