Sarah Thompson

Born and raised in Evansville, Sarah is excited to join CKF as the Regional Director for Southern Indiana. She has over 15 years of public health experience. Prior to joining the organization, Sarah served as the School-Based Services Administrator for Managed Health Services (MHS). She promoted school-based health services by connecting schools, primary care providers, behavioral health providers, and community partners to opportunities for adolescent health improvement. She also served as the Preparedness Coordinator for the Hendricks County Health Department. Sarah developed and maintained plans for “all hazards” emergency preparedness and response which included training and management of volunteers, overseeing budgets, and coordinating with local first responders, hospitals, and schools on prophylaxis response plans.

Sarah received her B.S. in Public Health from Western Kentucky University and her Master’s Degree in Public Health from IU (Indianapolis) with concentrations in Epidemiology and Behavioral Health Science. She also graduated from the Mid-America Public Health Leadership Institute and earned her K-12 physical education and secondary health teaching license through Indiana Wesleyan.
